*NEW* Bimini Bar!! The perfect Beach Bar!!

A ‘hint’ of “Tommy Bahama” exudes from this handsome, elegantly quaint bar. The “Bimini Bar” sites a footprint of 24’x24’ and stands at some 10.5’h. Accommodating up to 8 bartenders comfortably, the piece was designed specifically for bar stool seating with a counter-height of 42”.
The center ‘kiosk’ features inset openings to facilitate 32” flat screen monitors, but, when tv’s are not required, the insets are easily filled with colorful ‘bubble’ water panels.
Because of its unique footprint, design, and use of materials, the Bimini Bar is a great feature on the beach or other outdoor settings.

Hello World! Welcome to the Max King Events blog!

Wow, so it is officially January in 2011!! Max King Events has been around for a total of hmmm...5 months now!! I thought I would start off by introducing the staff and telling you a little about what we do...

T. Michael (Mike) Day and Lauren Lavender - The Max King Events team
T. Michael “Mike” Day is the creative director/designer and General Manager for MAX KING EVENTS based out of Orlando, Florida, and is enjoying some 40 years in successful special events and event production.
Transitioning from a high profile career as a professional musician, Mike stepped into the event side by chance as he created specialty floats and props for the 1976 Orange Bowl Half-time show for NBC television. Beyond the musical scores he arranged for the King Orange Jamboree Parade and NBC, he was asked to design a couple of parade floats. The ball started rolling from there and transitioned into evening galas and specialty themed props.Today, he oversees what he calls “24,000 square feet of possibilities”, a warehouse “packed to the gills” with unique, innovative, and inventive décor concepts and designs, with more and more coming off the drawing board. And yes, Mike is your artist behind the Mikey of the Months!
Lauren Lavender is the sales and marketing face of Max King Events. Joining the MAX KING EVENTS team in November 2010, she became the “perfect fit” bringing on board her fluid background in special events and “back-of-the-house” hotel savvy.
Growing up in Ft.Lauderdale, Lauren gleaned her customer service skills and patience from summer work in area restaurants and banquet facilities. After being accepted to University of Florida (Go Gators!) she began interning for different event coordinators including Mary Fanizzi Krystoff and Keith Watson Productions. During her junior year at UF she became a certified wedding consultant and was active in many on-campus event productions.
Graduating in the top 10 of her class from UF, Lauren carried away a degree in Hospitality specializing in Event Management and a minor in Business.
Now residing in Orlando, Lauren’s local resume includes the Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal gaining experience with conference management and banquet services and now a strategic influence in sales, marketing, and event production for MAX KING EVENTS.
